Altar Servers
(Contact: Rectory, 427-0638 or worship@sthugh.org)
Boys and girls, grades 4 through 12, are
invited to assist the priest with whatever he needs during the Mass.
Tasks include assisting with the books at Mass; helping to set the
altar table with the purificator and the bread and wine; helping to
clear the altar after Communion; and taking care of the candles and the
incense, if it is needed during Mass. Servers also assist at weddings.
Liturgy of the Word for Children

We presently provide a separate Liturgy of
the Word at various weekend Masses. The children are escorted to
the Chapel where the Readings are
proclaimed from the Children's Lectionary. The schedule is posted
in the bulletin.
Youth Choir
(Contact: Kathy Barnhart, 549-4761)
Young persons between grades 3 and 12 sing at
the 11:30 AM Sunday Mass. Rehearsals are for one hour each week from
September through Easter. They join the Adult Choir for special parish
celebrations as well as Thanksgiving and Confirmation.
